M iss Powell, the organising secretary for the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, arrived in Pahiatua yesterday. This evening, at the Methodist Church, she will deliver a lecture, for women only, on “Girls and their Lovers.”
Mr A. Quinlan, who is leaving Xireaha to engage in sawmilling pursuit* in the Hunterville district, was on Saturday evening tendered a smoke concert by his Nireaha friends. Mr Quinlan was presented with a set of pipes. Mr J. Cnnninghame. of the firm of Oollinson and Cnnninghame, Palmerston North, who has lx on on an extended visit to the Old Country, left Ixmdoti last week on his return to New Zealand.
