The total amount taken at the gates at the Show was £155 ; the total receipts on ground from all sources, £627. The actual attendance accounted for, represented by sale of tickets, was 17,W0. Mr Lancaster, a resident of FitzherbirtPalraerston, is winner of the forty guinea cup presented by the United Farmers’ Co-operativo Association for most points in fat sheep. Mr Lancaster having won this cup twj years in succession, now becomes its owner. There was a tremendous crush at the railway station last night. Just prior to the departure of the trains several watches were stolen by pickpockets, ladies being among the victims. It is said that the train to Dannevirke, drawn by two engines, was the longest and heaviest that ever left the Palmerston Railway Station. Later. The points prizes, £lO Ist and £lO econd, have just now been officially declared. In Lincolns Mr Tanner (Hawke’s Bay) Ist, Raynor and Sons l Masterton i 2nd. In draught horses, Mr Hastie Mnnaia) Ist, Mr Bremer illkaiawa) 2nd. In Romneys, Mr Allen (Clareville, Wairarapai Ist, Rowland iLongburn) 2nd.
In Shorthorns, Mr Mo Hardy Waipawa) Ist, Manager Mount Herbert estate 1 Waipukurau) 2nd. For champion Romney ram, Mr Rowland, Longburn, was awarded the medal, and for champion ewe Mr Allen, Clareville.
For champion Lincoln ram, Mr Tanner, Hawke's Bay, was awarded tin medal, and the champion ewe to Mis is Raynor and Sons, Masterton. The most points in produce was gained by Mr Brown, Rangiora.
