The fact that New Zealanders have no conception of the attractions of the Cook Islands was commented upon by Mr J. M. Thompson, who has just returned to Auckland after paying a visit to the group (says the Auckland Star). The scenery on the islands is beautiful in the extreme, and they’ were enjoying a climate at the present time which was equal to Auckland's summer. If communication between the Dominion and the group were better the latter would be one of the best places he had seen for a holiday.
