— The British Office of Works has accepted the offer of the Colleges of Pestology to rid Hyde Park, London, of caterpillars by removing the cocoons. The silver jubilee of the Palmerston North Boys’ High School was celebrated on Tuesday last by a reunion of old pupils from all parts of the Dominion. Wreaths were laid on the memorial of the late Mr J. E. Vernon, first rector, and a pioneer of secondary education in the Manawatu.
