BILLIARDS. R.S.A. CHAMPIONSHIP. The first round of the annual billiard championship of the Dunedin R.S.A. resulted as follows: —A. Lindsay 500 beat C. Mason 468; H. Halligan 500 beat S. M’Dougall 358; E. Stewart 500 beat J. Meldrum 408; H. J. Raines a bye. The draw for the second round is:—Lindsay v. Halligan, Stewart v. Raines. THE SANDERS CUP. NEXT RACE AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, July 22. The Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association, after considering the applications from Napier and Southland, decided that the next year’s contest for the Sander's Oup would be held here. SHOOTING. ISLINGTON CHALLENGE CUP. WELLINGTON, July 22. The 1923-24 competition for the Islington Challenge Cup between the Cadet Corps of the secondary School cadet units was won by A. Company, Nelson College, with 108.5 points, with Scots College, Wellington, 107.6 second, A Company, St. Andrew’s College, Canterbury, 102.88 third, No. 20 Company, Auckland, 07.7 fourth, No. 4 Company, Thames High School, 91.6 fifth, and No. 113 Company, Masterton High School, 85.5 sixth. EMPIRE RIFLE MEETING. LONDON July 25. It Is announced that the Empire rifle ■weting will be held in Canada in 1926.
