ROME, June 16. The Government lias decided to cede to a consorzia of iron and steel workers the arsenals at Naples and Venice, the arms factories in Lagaceio, di Genova, Gardone, Val Trompia, and Terni. A consorzia corresponds with British guilds, and is controlled jointly by owners and workers. It aims at distributing the profits to the effective workers and converting warlike establishments to the production of peace time industrial machinery and railway material; also to the construction of a number of steamers. It is arranging for the demolition of enemy ships, and the transformation of warships into merchantmen. As a result of this agreement the consorzia’e workmen have increased in number from 7090 to 75,000. while the cooperative organisations under its control have increased from 10 to 18.
