At a meeting of delegates to the Dunedin Bowling Centre it was decided to adopt the system of playing interclub matches ( suggested by Mr "Glover, to occupy 13 Saturdays instead of 17, as at present. The system provides for clubs playing full strength as far as possible against each other, iho matter of the scoring of points was referred to the executive, in association with Mr Glover. It was decided to recommend the association to amend the constitution to allow of the immediate past chairmen of centres to become ex-officio members of the centre for 12 months following his retirement from office. The fourth annual report of the Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association states that the membership of the association consists of 17 centres—North island 8, iSouth Island 9. The clubs affiliated to the association number 215, being an increase of two on last year. A number of centres have failed to send in returns of the membership of clubs • consequently it is impossible to give the actual number of members. The figures available for the year show 10,423 members, as against 10,437 last year These, however, axe not complete. The credit balance has decreased during the year. The fund 3 should really be greater than shown in the balance sheet, as levies from a good many clubs are still owing. In accordance with clause 1 of the constitution of rules, the headquarters of the association for the ensuing year will be at Dunedin. The association tournament was held in Wel- ■ Ungton in January, and record entries for each event were received —136 rinks, 203 pairs, and 210 singles. An electric light tournament was held on two evenings during the week, for which 32 rinks entered. The profit from the tournament amounted to £550 which sum was distributed as follows : _War Relief Association, £300; Y.M.C.A., £150; Returned Roldiers' Club, £SO; St. John Ambulance, £SO.
