RED CROSS SOCIETY.
The following extract from a letter written by Sister Annie Hamann, <al N.Z.A.N.S., elated June 14, has been kindly forwarded to the Red Cross Society by Mrs Hamann: —"You might tell any of the good people working for the Red Cross, etc.. how much their articles are appreciated. Every minute of the clay we arc; thankful for the beautiful things sent — sheets, linen, bandages, splints, and thousands of other useful things. We could never get through if we had to prepare them, and they are in such abundance.
The people in Now Zealand are doing splendid work, and I feel we can never sufficiently show our gratitude and be grateful enough to the Red Cross and kindred societies."
The committee desires specially to thank all the ladies who kindly helped with tho making of the bedspreads for the hospital ship Marama. The quilts look most effective, being khnki with large red crosses.
