OUTRAM WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION.
The West Taieri branch of tho Women's® Patriotic Association continues its weekly sewing meetings at Outrun. Tho following goods have been forwarded to tho Early Settlers' Hall: 17 pairs of socks, 2£ dozen service bags, and 4 shirts. During tho month Christmas parcels have been sent through the Dunedin centre\to every soldier who has left the district for the front. The following are thanked for knitting socks: —Mrs Nichols, Mrs Snow, Mrs Stanavvay, Mrs Walker, Mrs Little, Mrs Drennan, and Miss Bessie Harrison. MACRAES - MOONLIGHT PATRIOTIC SOCIETY. For the month of August the women of the Macraes-Moonlight Patriotic Society sent the following goods to the Early Settlers' Hall: —6 undershirts. 8 pairs of socks, 1 balaclava, 27 tea towels, 6 handkerchiefs, 24 service hags, 11 pillow slip 9, and 2 bandages. Collectors brought in £1 2s. In September a concert and sale of work will be held to raise funds fcr tho socictv.
