FELDWICK.
December 28.—The annual break-up o? the Feldwick School, which took placo qn the afternoon of Thursday, 21st insfc., was a most enjoyable function. The School Committee had in a generous manner provided a splendid selection of beautiful books as
good conduct prizes for nil the the pupils, and Air J. 11. Smith, of Orawia, liberally contributed an abundance of sweets. Though tho School Committee and the general public were not in evidence, yet a lino programmo of songs by tho children, and a stirring patriotic address by the teacher enlivened tho proceedings, which closed with tho National Anthem. Amidst pleasant greetings and happy smiles, the school year closed, and the children, who each received a bag of lollies, joyfully scampered for their respective homes, there to d'ream of Santa Claus and the happy days to come.
