OTEKURA.
Juno 24.—We have had exceptionally mild weather eo far this winter. We usually experience very hard frosts in this district, but this season Jack Frost is conspicuous by his absence. Heavy rain fell on the 16th inst. We have also had this week light misty rain, with occas : onal glimpses of the sun. Farmers have been busily engaged in ploughing operations. Suppliers to the loc-'.l dairy factory are running their milk every third day. For the Front. —Another of our men —Mr Albert Korr —has set an noble example by offering his services for his Kins; and eouiri ry. Personal. —Mr Dav : s, manager of the factory here, has been appointed manager of the cheese factory at Goodwood. Mr Davis is much esteemed in this district.
