HANMER SPRINGS.
Juno 26. —Lieutenant-colonel A. K Loach, military commandant of the Queen Mary Hospital, left here on Friday, 22nd insfc., for Dunedin, where ho will go into the hospital to undergo an operation to his ley. Though very much improved with the treatment at Hanmor Springs, a surgical operation is considered necessary. Captain W. G. Hardham, V.C., has arrived to take charge during Colonel Loach's absence. Entertainment. —A very enjoyable concert was held in the Nurse Cavcll Ward of the new hospital on Thursday night. All the residents and visitors were invited, and a good programme was submitted. It is proposed to hold an entertainment once a week.
