CATHOLICS AND POLITICS
SYDNEY, August 7. Referring to recent statements regarding Catholics and politics. Archbishop Kelly, in the course of an address, said : “ You set our house on fire by your educational system, and force every Catholic to fight for his own—if not behind guns, at least at the ballot-box. Take away these restrictions, and the Cathriic Federation will be just as non-political as a temperance society.”
