THE BRITISH ARMY.
LONDON, April 21. In the House of Commons Mr Haldane, in replying to Colonel H. Brodley, said that though there was no shortage of horses for the peace requirements of the army the Government was considering a scheme for the establishment of Govern-ment-owned horse ranches in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The expense and ether difficulties, however, had hitherto prevented! the Government from arriving at a definite conclusion.
