o—; LONDON, January 17. Since the overthrow of the Turkish despotism there has beeir a great incursion of Jews into Palestine. Under the new Constitution, now operative throughout Turkey, the Jewish population in Jeru- • sa.lem has increased by many thousands, I while tens of thousands have settled in j the districts around Jaffa, Tiberias, and Mount Caruiel. Thousands are flocking from Persia and Russia. . Jewish capitalists are buying the land ; in the Jordan Valley which was recently j the property of ex-Sultan Abdul Hamid.
