SIR HORACE TOZER
LONDON, January 15. Lord Lamingtpn, on behalf of one hundred subscribers, including all the Agentsgeneral and many British commercial men, presented Sir Horace Tozer, Agentgeneral for Queensland, with a silver salver and a cheque for £ll7O. Lord Lamington eulogised the courage, fidelity, and ripe judgment of Sir Horace. Lord Strathcona, in supporting the presentation, acknowledged Sir H. Tozer’s great success on the Pacific Cable Board. Sir H. Tozer, replying, regretted his retirement, which was due to ill-health. He was, however, hopeful that he would be able to serve the Empire in the future
