OTAGO TARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR.
The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand report: —3Fbr our usual weekly sale held at our Horso Bazaar on Saturday last, there was an entry of 51 draught mares and gelding 3, manners, sprinsf-oartera, harness horses, and ha^kneye. The attendance of farmere, contractors, and town carriers was good, and: a considerable amount of business was done.We had not many good draughts forward, imt most of those we had sold well, and we have still inquiries for more. Heavy Gpringcartecs were in good demand, ana .soldi readily up to £27. Light spring-carters an«* harness geldings sold up to £19, and good! hackneys to £15. Our country consignments came from Oamaru. Central Ota-go, the Peninsula, Waii&ti. Brighton, and the Taieri. A consignment of draughts and harness horses from Mi W, Simpeon, of
Mount Gowrie. Sutton, were keenly competed for, and sold at satisfactory prices. Our tiar^est sale will be held on the 29th inst., vhen we shall offer a lot of Clydesdales and forking draughts. Quotations : Good useful draught mares and geldings (young and sound), from £35 to £45; lighter ports and older, £23 to £33; heavy lorry pairs, from £80 to £100 ; useful plough mares, «nd geldings, £30 to £40; pedigree Clydesdale mares, to £150; good sorts of Clydesdale mares, suitable for stud purposes and f»neral farm work, £40 to £50; carriage pairs, £80 to £100; spring-carters (good •ort«), from £20 to £32; upstanding buggy snares and geldings, from £15 to £22; hackneys, from £12 to £15; lighter sorts, f rdm £7 to £12.
