OTAGO CRICKET ASSOCIATION.

The ordinary -weekly meeting of the Otago Cricket Association, held on Friday evening in the Empire Buildings, was attended by Messrs C. R. Smith (chairman), J. Hope, W. Maclean, J. Beck, F. H. Campbell, C. G. Wilson, A. M'Lean, A. Restieaux, T. Ritchie, and E. S. Wilson.

It was decided, after consideration, to adopt the following arrangements for the representative team to proceed north, subject to the players to be selected consenting to make the trip: — Leave Dunedin on December 23 and arrive in Auckland on Friday night, 25th inst., playing Auckland on the 28th, 29th, and 30th inst., and leaving on the 31st for New Plymouth (where no match will be played), and going to Wanganui on January 1. On arrival iv Wanganui at 12.30 on January 1 a match will be commenced in the afternoon and continued the following day, the team leaving on Monday, 4th January, for Napier, arriving there the same evening, and commencing a two-days' match on the following day against Hawke's Bay. The team to leave Napier for Wellington on the 7th January, and arrive in Dunedin the following day. The tour to occupy 17 or 18 days, and three matches to be played. Mr T." Ritchie was unanimously selected as business majiager for the tour. The Selection Committee and president and secretary were authorised to make necessary arrangements in regard to members of the team, etc. /

CAXTEBBCRY-OTAGO MATCHES.

The Secretary of the Canterbury Cricket Association (Mr D. H. Thomson) wrote stating that he had observed that the Otago Association had agreed to play Auckland on December 28, 29, and 30, provided these dates were suitable to Auckland, and asked to be advised early if Auckland aoeepted those dates, as his association wished to make arrangements for the Can-terbury-Auckland match. Re the OtaßOCanterbury match, to be played in Dunedin, the writer stated that he noted the Otago Association thought the middle of February would be a more suiable time to play the Canterbury-Otago match in Dunedin, and, under instructions, he suggested that Friday, Saturday, and Monday, 12th, 13th, and 15th February, be tho dates for the match. Re the junior representative match, he suggested January 1 and '2 as the dates for this match, which would be played in Ohristehurch. It was also intimated that Christchurch would play Wellington in Christchurch during the Christmas holidays. It was decided to reply that Auckland approved of the dates referred to, and that the dates and places suggested for tho Otago-Cauterbury senior and junior matches were aprpoved. Messrs J. Clark, W. Maclean, and A. M'Lean were appointed to act as selectors of the Otago junior team.

GENERAL,

TKe Chairman expressed a hope that official replies would be received before next meeting from the various clubs to the association's letter asking for financial assistance towards the " coach " funds. The report and balance sheet of the Cricket Council was laid on the table.
