s The eighth round of the Cricket Cup Championships was decided this afternoon in ideal weather. City, playing Grafton, scored 119 and 70, and Grafton's total in the first innings wa3 242 (D. Hay 67, A. Jones not out 47, Graham 29, Horspool 20). Ellis (20) and Beeehey (18) were- the highest scorers for Oity. Gi'afton won by an innings and 1 53 rims, scoring a three-point win. Eden won the cliampionship for 1907-8 by to-day defeating Ponsonby on the first innings by 103. Ponsonby made 60 and four wiokets for 86 (R. Woods 32, Robinson 23). Eden scored 163 (Smith 43, J. Mills 40, Stemson 27, G. Mills 22). White got eight wickets for 37 rum. North Shore defeated Parnell on the first innings by 110 runs. Parnell scored 90 and in the second innings had eight wickets down for 51 (Murray 17). North Shore scored 200 (Haddon 26, Howden 65, Wallace 27, Dacee 24, Prime 19). The season has practically finished now. Eden Second were defeated by Grafton for the first time this season.
