CHRISTCHURCH CRICKET. CHRISTCHURCH, March 15.
West Christchuroh and Sydenham, the two leading teams for the championship, concluded their match on Saturday, when the former won by seven wickets. Scores: Sydenham 39 and 107 (Ackroyd 24, Bennett and Gasson 21); West Christchurch 103 and 45 for three wickets. West Christchuroh thus secured the championship. In the match St. Albans v. East Christchurch, which was commenced on Saturday, the former occupied the wicket* all the afternoon, and established a great performance. When time was called they had only lost four wickets for 466 runs (Ford 101, Frankish 84, T. W. Reese 84, J. S. Barrett not out 74, B. B. Wood 57, and Dr O'Brien not out 36). Riccarton made 151 (Anthony 42 and Caygill 36) in their first innings against Linwood. The latter responded with 142 (G. 'Kinvig 39).
