, — ♦ BURNS, PHILP, AND CO.'S CLAIM PAID. LONDON, January 31. The German Government has paid Messrs Burns, Philp, and Co. £4100, the amount agreed upon as the compensation to be paid to the firm named owing to the losses sustained by them in consequence of the refusal of the treaty rights to which they were entitled.
