CLEARING SALES.

J Messrs Ales. Harris and Co. report having " held a very successful sale of dairy cows and farm, implements at Mrs Drysdale's farm, Waitati, on Thursday last. There was a good-attendance of buyers from the surrounding district, and the> stock being well known and in good condition, each lot offered soon found buyers at satisfactory prices. Dairy cows realised from\ £3 5s to £7 10s, tha furniture and implements also oommanding good values. < Messrs Donald Eeid Itnd Co. (Ltd.) report as follows:—We held a very successful clear1 ing sale at Warepa on Friday, 10th inst., I on account of Mr J. G. Park, who has sold I hia farm. The day proved^ remarkably fine, I and there was a good turnout of buyers ! fram all over the district. The stock were j all in good condition, the four, six, and eight- ! tooth ewes with lambs at foot being a particularly nice lot, and were well competed for, Mr Alex. Johnston (the buyer of the properly) eventually being the purchaser at 18s 7d all counted. The draught horses ■were a useful lot, and although bidding for them was rather slow, they brought fairly satisfactory prices, £40 being paid for a I five-year-old mare. For the dairy cows and I young cattle there was very keen competition, and they realised very satisfactory ' prices. Implements and . sundries all i brought fair values. Immediately afterwards we held a clearing sale on account of Mr James Begg, who has also sold his farm, when everything sold well except the horses, for which bidding was very slow. Fullrrouthed ewes and lambs brought 10s 7d, all counted; two-tooth ewes, 17s 3d; fat ewes, Ms 3d; dairy-«ows, to £6 15s; yearling steer 3 and heifers, £3 lls; draught horses, £38 to £22; and implements^ etc., brought fair prices.
