THE EDUCATION BILL.

THE NEW REGULATIONS. DEPUTATION OF CATHOLICS. LONDON, July 26. An influential deputation of Catholics, headed by Archbishop Bourne, protested lhat the new regulations must destroy the denominational character of the training colleges. Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman and Mr M Kenna (President of the Board of Education) maintained the equity of the regulations, and declared that it was not desired to impaii the present character of the colleges. If the regulations did destroy the denominational character of the colleges the situation would be reconsidered, but the Government claimed that* they should be given a fair trial.
