AUCKLAND. July 25. Ai a meeting of the Management Committee cf the Auckland Rugby Union a lelier was received from the Hawke's Bay Union asking the Auckland Rugby Union to use its influenoe with the New Zealand Rugby Union to have the Hawke's Bay v. Auckland fixtwre declared a special challenge match. Th« last match was played *t Napier in 1903, whereas Hawke's Bay visited Auckland in 1906, and suffered defeat. Bay -men have played here on three occasions. The latter fixture was inadvertently omitted from the A.E.U. Annual. 'Mr Langsfoid will point this out in a telegram to the New Zealand Rugby Union.
