| Dredging has again got fairly started after | the Easter holidays. I The Blackwater River dredge got 350z for j 120 hours, with improving prospects as the dredge advances higher up the clair, where the wash is expected to deepen. , The No Town Creek dredge put in 135 hour?" work for 340z. The wash on the bottom is still very heavy and rough, while timber is also present. ■ • ( The lyew Trafalgar dredge obtained 18oz for i the week. A good deal of previously-treated .material was gone-, through. will be got over soon, when returns aie expected to ! improve. | The Paetolns No. 1 dredge washed up 30oz • i ?dwt for 180 hours, and the No. 2 dredge 690z 6dwt for 107 hours. The wash is rough, But, judged by the line of wash worked parallel to. the claim, this will soon give place to ideal dredging material. Another rich reef has been discovered at Blackwater, with the result that further peg-ging-out is going on.
