LOVELL'S FLAT.
The Lovell'a Flat and Clarksville Schools combined, numbering nearly 200, held their annual picnic at Taieri Mouth on Friday. The management of the outing was in the hands of Messrs Martin (Clarksville) and Adams (Lovell's Flat), and the completeness of the arrangements left nothing to be desired. On arrival at Henley by train Mr M'Kegg's steamer Waiwera was ready to convey the party to Taieri Mouth, which was reached shortly after 11. After lunch an adjournment was made to the beach, where sports were indulged in. The Waiwera was boarded at 3.30 p.m. for the return trip, and the " camera fiend " being in evidence, a picture of the whole party en board was secured. Altogether an enjoyable and sttccessful outing was spent.
