SLAUGHTER OF THE INNOCENTS.
The PREMIER- said that he had decided not to proceed this pession with the following Government measures now standing on tho Order Paper, and moved that they be struck off:— Land and Live Stock Auctions, Fair Rent, Westport Harbour Board Endowments, Young "Persons Protection vMoneylendera, Oi chard and Garden PeLts, Trustees Act Amendment, Mortgage No. 2, Statutes Consolidation, and Printing-. The following private bills were- also diroharged: — Roads Obstruction, Formation, District Courts Act Amendment, Shops' and Shop Assistants Act Amendment, Absolute Majority "Vote, Lunatic Asylums Board of Jnguiry, Land and Income Assessment Act Amendment, Property law Consolidation Act (1186) Amendment, Electivo Executive, Eight Horn's, Meat Export Companies' Limitation of Profits, Married Women's Property Act Amendment, Cycle Boards, Limitation oi Member?' Privileges, Libel Bill (No. 2), "Water Supply Act Amendment, Inspecto'-s of Schools, Press Association Copyright, Magistrate's^ Courts Act Amendment, Separate Institutions, Statutes Compilation, Education Act Amendment, Trades Union Act Amendment, Mining Act Amendment, Totalizator Abolition.— The motion v/as carried.
