A NEW RACECOURSE.
At a meeting of the ManaAvatu Racing Club it was decided to purchase 100 acres of land at Awapuni for a racecourya. The purchase money totals £4000. The new course is about a mile and a-half from Palmerston North, and on the railway line. It is picturesquely situated, in close proximity to the Awapuni laeoon. and has many natural ad-_ vantages. The sandy nature of the ground will permit training operations to be carried out throughout the year. Meetings, however, will be held on the present course for the next four years. v The contemplated outlay on the course, including the pin-chase money, will be £5000. *»
