GORE, March 6. f?or the Gore sale there was a beautiful day. Owing to harvest being in full swing there were ■ not a great "many farmers present, but mostly stock forward changed hands. - 'Sheep.— About 3030 were penned. Fat ■'wethers brought 12s Cd to 133 IOd; fat ewes, ■a3s 4d to 13s 6d; fat lambs, 9s 9d to 10s 9d; two-tooth .wethers, 9s 5d to 13s ; merino wethers, •4s Id; lambs,,, ss lid to 10s Id; two and fourtooth ewes, 13s lid; full-mouthed ewes, 93 Id to 13s 2d; broken-mouthed ewes, 6s; old ewes -and lambs, 6s 4d to 9S9 S (all counted). 1 Cattle.— About 100 cams forward. Fat steers sold up to £6 ss; fat cows, £8 to £5; forward •steers, £i 10s to £0 7s ; two-year-old steers and heifers, £2 10s to M ; yearlings, £1 10s to £2 ss.

Messrs William E. Reynolds and Co., Bond •.street, report for the week ending. 7th March as follows:— Wheat: There is no change to note, •maiket keeping about the same*. So far we have seeii no new samples offering, although, of course, in Canterbury large sales of "the new crop have already been made. We quote:. 'Prime milling at from 2s sd" to 2s 6d, and fowl feed from 2s Id to 2s 2d." Oats: In our last we advised stocks as short; and -altHough no ne" v crop-has offered here, yet a considerable business has been done in Canterbury, and market in consequence is slightly easier". Price of bags has also been advanced to, 6d, whichmeans a greater cost f.o.b. to the shipper sacks inland we quote to-day, therefore, prime milling up to 2s; best feed," Is lid; good, sound, Is lOd to 1 101 d. Chaff: There is a good inquiry for prime, Which we can quote up to £3 per ton; ordinary quality meets with 'but a moderate demand at from* £2 to £2 10s.
