SALE OF THE CHETNOLE AYRSHIRES.

•The National Mortgage and Agency Company, in conjunction with Messrs Fleming and Hedley, held a clearing sale of the Chetnole Ayrshire herd on the show ground (says the North Otago Times) on Thursday. There was a good attendance, notwithstanding the j unfavourable weather, and buyers were present from both north and south. The* good cows of the herd, near calving, were in demand, and realised from 10 up to -14£ guineas, the latter price being paid for Flower I o£ Chetnole, Dr Levinge, of Sunnyside, being the purchaser.
