ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. (Per United Pbe3s Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 19.

Medium entries were the rule at Addington* to-day. There was a very large attendance, a ' brisk salo resulting in a rise in most classes of r sheep, while everything else except pigs brought well up to late rates. The entries for the day comprised- 4708 fat sheep and lambs, 6700 store sheep, 469 cattle, and 706 pigs. i Fat Cattle.— 226 yarded, mostly light to heavy weights'. All classes were in demand. Heavy steers brought £7 to £8 17s 6d; lighter eorts, £5 5s to £6 10s; .heifers, £3 12s 6d to £s_l7s-6d; and cows, £3 to £5 10s. Fat Sheep.— The yarding was a small fine,

the bulk being trade -ewes. Freezing sheep met keen competition, the better sorts selling at from 14s to 15s 3d for wethers, and 13s 3d for mixed sexes, while a line of North Island wethers brought 15s to 16s 3d. Butchers' ewes sold irregulsfrly, the best bringing from 12s to 15s 3d, and medium sorts down to 10s. Fat Lambs. — The small yarding was mostly of good quality, and met with good competition. Freezers, 11s 6d to 13s 4d, and others down .to 9s 4d. Store Sheep. — The stores were mostly wethers and lambs, with small lots of breeding ewes. J Pigs. — The heavy entry brought down prices slightly, baconers averaging 3Jd to 4d per lb and porkors 4d to 5d per head. Baconers brought 42s to 625 ; porkers, 34s to 495 ; stores, 19s to 49§; a line of 200 from North Island, ■ 22s to 40s ; weaners, 15s 9d to lGs 6d.
