Competition was very brisk, and prices showed a slight advance. We quote : Winters, lQd to lljd ; autumns, 7d to 9Jd ; mmmcr.s, 4Jd to 6d ; small, Id to 3d per lb. Sheepskins.— -We held our usual weekly sale on Tuesday, and offered a fairly large catalogue. Prices ruled firm at late quotations, which are : For butchers' green crossbreds, 2s (51 to 3s 6d for extra ; dry crossbreds, 2s 5d to 5s 6d • dry merinos, 2s 3d to 3s 6d ; medium do, Is 6d to 2s ; pelts, 4d to Is 9d. Hides, Ud to 3Jd, according to weight and condition. Tallow : Rough fat, 9s 6d to 11s ; rendered, 123 to 15s. Horsehair, Is to Is 3d. We are now prepared to make advances on wool. We have much pleasure in inviting all farmers or others interested to inspect our seed-cleaning plant in full working order during the coming show week. FHUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT Butter : Good salt— Dairy-made, BJd ; extra prime, 9d ; good, 7d ; milled, 7d to 7£d per lb. We have buyers tor all good quality at quotations. Cheese : Good Akaroa, 4d to 4Jd ; factory, 4Jd. Pigs, 34 d to 3Jd for good quality: wanted. Poultry received for sale any days but Saturdays. Roosters (young), 3s to 3s 3d ; hens, £s 3d to 23 (id ; ducks (young), 3s to 3s 6d. Beeswax Is 3d, according to quality. Fruit.— We receive consignments of all kinds of fruit and garden produce, which we sell either by auction or privately, a=) we think best in the interests of consignors. Tahiti oranges, 6s per case. We havo inquiry for shipping for 500 tons prime chuff and 500 tons pressed oaten hay. Will farmers please communicate. We supply rabbit and sheep netting, and give special quotations by the mile.
