The teams were very evenly matched, bub the Pirates failed to take advantage of their opportunities. The match Alhambra Seoond v. ZingariRichmond Second was n&t played ou Saturday on accouut of the referee not putting in an appearance. The Kaikorai Second claim the match against Dunedin Second by default. The match Star v. Port Chalmers resulted in a win for fche former by 15 points to nil. J. Dey (2), R. Banned, W. Elder, and J. Dier scored trie 3 for tho winners. The superior training 'and passing of the Star told on their opponents, as the Porb went completely to pieces in the last quarter of an hour. * The Kaikorai Third met and defeated ths All Saints' by 6 points (penalty goal and a try) to nothing. The Port Chalmers Second defeated the Star Second by 12 points to 3. For the Port H. Ward potted a goal and Holden and Facie secured tries. Morgan scored for tho Star.
