The Agents-general of the various colonies will submit evidence to the select committee appointed in connection with the Imported Agricultural Products Marks Bill, with the view of refuting Mr Digby's assertions regarding Australian meat. Melboubne, April 15. With reference to the attack on the , Australian frozen meat trade in the House .of Commons, the Minister for Agriculture •faired to the New South Wales Minister asking him to convene a conference of Australian Ministers for Agriculture to take the jmatter into consideration and prepare evidence for submission to a eelect committee <}f the Honse of Commons. A reply hag been Received that arrangements would be made &o hold a conference at Sydney at the Earliest available opportunity. The Minister for Agriculture has cabled to Agent-general to cjlve an absolute contradiction to the statements that Australian jsrozan meat 1b of inferior quality and of temall value as food.
