Shares : Australian and New Zealand Mortgage Company's 4& per cent, debentures, 93J April 16. The Bank of England reserve is £25,358.000, the proportion of reserve to liabilities being sU'o7. Tbe report of the Australian Mortgage, Land, and Finance Company shows a profit for the year of £54,993. A dividend of 5 per cent, is declared, and the sum of £2993 carried forward. The directors consider it prudent to transfer £140,000 from the reserve fund to meet possible contingencies. Mutton and hemp unchanged. The English wheat market is firm, but little business is doing. Continental is changing a little for the! better. American is advancing rapidly. Rusrian cargoes, 30s. London quotation No 1 hard Duluth, 333. "Butter firm ; prices unchanged.
