GRAIN AND SEED REPORT.
■Messrs William E. Rkynolds and Co , Bond street, report for the week ending 21st April as follows :— AVheat.—There is very little alteration to note, unless it be that the market is without animation and millers are not at all keeu to buy. We quote: Prime velvet, up to 4s 2d; Tuscan, 3s lid to 4e : red sorts, 3* 8d to 3a lOd for well-saved hart* in ; fowls' feed, from 3s to 3s 6iL Oat . Buyers are not so keen this week as they were a week ago. Perhaps the lull is occasioned by the holidays intervening and may take up again shortly, but at time of writing there is less disposition shown to purchase at our quotations of 2s ljd for milling; tip-top feed, 2s Id ; good sound feed, 2s; ordinary quality, Is lOd to Is lid. Barley is receiving a great amount of attention lately, -md high prices are being paid for really prime quality. We can quote same at 4s to 4s 2d (Lakes-grown slightly more); good sound quality, 3s 6d to 3s 10.1 ; damaged grain, 2s 6d to 3s 3d, according to quality. Chaff.—This market has been rather better supplied during the last week, and prices are inclined to b& f asier. We quote : Extra prime, £3 2s 6d to £3 ss; good quality, £2 17s tfd to £3. Potatoes are iion« too plentiful, and we can ■ quote : A ready sale for best Derwents up to £3 ! ss; ordinary quality, £212s 6d to £3.
