Wool.— No change of any importance has taken place since the clo3e of the London sales. In the local market there is very little business passing, and the few edd lots arriving are sold at the weekly auctions, and meet with fair competition. It Rabbitskins. — The season not being quite on, the supply coming forward is not large, aud therefore only moderate catalogues were submitted by the various agents on Monday. There was the usual attendance of buyers, and the catalogues were all cleared at fairly satisfactory prices. Sheepskins.— Fairly large catalogues were submitted at the Chamber of Commerce Hall on Tuesday, which comprised the usual assortment of butchers' green skins and dry skins from I country client*. All the buyers were in atteud1 ance, but bidding was not particularly brisk, and ! prices realised were hardly so good as last week. Green croesbreds sold at 2s Id to 2s 9d ; green larnbß, 2s 3d to 2s lid ; dry crossbreds, 2s to 43 7d ; dry merino, Is 5d to 3s 10d ; dry pelts, 4d to Is od. Grain. — Wheat : Since last report there has been little alteration in values. During last week sales were made with much freedom, but at time of writing- buyers are not so keen, and although prices for most sorts are not quotably lower sales are not so readily made, and business is somewhat restricted. Quotations : Prime milling velvet, 4s to 4s 3d ; medium velvet, 33 lOd to 4s ; prime milling Tuscan red wheat, 3s lid to 4s; medium, 3s 9d to 3s lOd ; whole fowl wheat, 3a 3d to 3s 7d :

broken do, ?s 61 to 3s pir bushel (sacks in). Oats : The demaud ior all sort* is strong and prices show a marked improvement on those current last week. Prime milling sorts, particularly Sutherland:!, are .scarce, and are strongly inquited for. Sparrowhills are coming forw.mi freely, but as growers have confidence in the future of the 111,1: kot, in most ca=es consignments are being stored on growers' account, so that, even at curlent quotations, shippers from this port have some difficulty in supplying their ordev.s. Quotations are : ..ougTmters and prime milling, 2s 2d tjCps 4d pur bushel (:acks extra); good to best feed, 2s to 2i 2<l; medium, Is lOd to Is lid. Barley : Prime malting is wanted, and is readily saleable. For other sorts tho demand is not strong Quotation* are: Prime malting, 3s 3d to 4s per bushel (sacks extra) ; medium 252 5 9i to 3s 23 ; feed and milling 2- 3d to Cs Bd. Quotations are : "Best Derweut-, £'■$ to £3 5s per ton ; mc'limn, £2 10s to -t:2*7s lid per ton (sacks in). ' Chaff.— The market this week ha> been fairly well mppliei, aud most of the consignments have been of good t.i prime quality. The deiinnd for best, heavy, well-^rown, and for old ch.tff, remains good, but all sorts have suffered a decline of about 5= per ton mi the rates realised under last week's short supply. Quotations are : Best oaten sheaf. £.12-, (Jl to £'i 7.s til per ton ; medium to good, £2 17s b"d to £3 per ton (bags txtia).
