ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

Christchurch, April 14. Entries in all classes of sheep and cattle were very large at Addington yards to-day. There was «n unusual:y large attendance. Fat Cattle. -Out ot 200 fat cattle yarded 50 were In dealers' hands. Steets of prime quality sold well. For the rest there was hftrdly any competition, and the bulk of those submitted to auction were passed. Prime beef brought 16s to 18s per 1001b, and inferior to medium 13s to 15s ; the prices per head being—Steers, £5 15s to £8 7s 6d; heifers, £3 12s 6d to £512s 6d; and cows, £3 2s 6d to £4 10a. Fat Sheep.—The heaviest yarding of fat sheep for come time was on offer, including both ewes and wethers, the former predominating.- Prime crossbred wethers brought 12s 6d to 13s 2d, and others 103 6d to 12s ; maiden ewes, 9s to 12s 6d ; good young ewes, 9s to 10a 7d ; medium ewes, 7s to gs 8d ; and aged and inferior do, 5s to 6s 9d. Fat Lambs.—soß9 lambs were yarded. The entry was very mixed ; good lines fit for export met with fair competition at 10s to lls lid, but backward sorts were hard to dispose of even at a reduction, selling at 7s to 93. Pigs were in over supplyi and a slightly 'easier tone prevailed. Baconers and porkers sold at 2£d to3idperlb.
