• Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report that prices filled as under at their auction sale to-day :— v Oats.— Last week's quotations were well mam.tamed for nearly all classes, and were slightly Improved upon in the case of prime milling lines. Prime milling, 2s 3d to 23 3Jd ; good to best feed, £s 2d to 2a 3d ; medium, 2s to 2s Id ; inferior and discoloured, 2« 104 te la U£4 per bushel (sacks t*fcra).

Wheat —None offered. Barley. — Values obtained for prime maltiDg show a stronger demand. One line of prime quality (giown at Girston) elicitod keen comi dition, and realised our lop quotations. Prime malting, 2s lOd to 3a 4d ; medium, 2s 6d to 2s 9d ; feed and milling, 2s to 2s 5d per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes. — The market is fully supplied, and buyers do not operate with any degree of freedom. Best Derwents, £2 10s to £2 12s 6"d ; medium, £2 to £i 5s per ton (socles in). Chaff.— The marktt has been poorly supplied of Lite, and all forward to-day realised prices which show a decided advance on late ratca. Best oaten sheaf, £4 5s to £4 10s ; extra bright and heavy to £4 15s ; medium, £3 10s to £4 per ton (bags extra). The Mutual Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) report that prices ruled as under at their weekly auction tale to-day :— Oats continue to command lespect, nnd, under keen bidding, we cltnred a catalogue of nearly 1500 b.igs at an advance of Jd to Id per bushel ou last week's prices. Best, 2s M (ex store) to 2s :vjd (ex truck) ; good, 2s Id to 2s 2*d ; inferior and medium, Is lOd to 2s OJdWheat —Only three small lots offered and sold under good competition at— Velvet, prime 4s 4Jd, seconds 3d UJd ; led stiuw, seconds, 43. Bailey.— Two lots offered. Medium, 2s 5d ; inferior, 2s 2d. Potatoes have declined 5s per ton and sold to-day at— For best, sls ; medium and good, 42s to 455. Chaff. —After a baremaiket for two weeks, it was not surprising to find an advance of 15s to 20s, and we sold under exciting bidding. Best, 965 ; medium and good, 75s to 80s.
