THE LABOUR MARKET.

Mr Skkne reports under dale November 2G :— For the past" week woik has been at a standstill owing to tha unsettled weather. Tint, is rather trying, but good in the end, for the cro^a are fluuiisliing. Shearing has been hindered a bit on L.w country. Now is the time for dairy people.Good mi'kers are in demand, and there is a mild iaquiry for couples and odd station hands, ploughmen, gardeneis, grooms, cooks, &c. Only a very few shepherds and musterers are asked for ; but business is bound to waken up by the New Year, as prices all round are haidcning, and wages must of course go up or down with the times.
