SOUTH CANTERBURY FARMERS ASSOCIATION.
Timaiiu, July 3.— A special meeting of tbe shareholders of the Farmers' Association, 200 being present, confirmed the resolutions to reconstruct in order to remedy technical defects. There was some criticism on the inclusion of an auction business, as it involved a large risk in the amount out on bills. The r< arrangement is expected to be concluded in about a fortnight, and the new directorate will be elected about two months hence.
