Eggs.— Scarce. > Fruit.— Apples : Prime cooking 9a to 10s ; eating do, 10s fid to 12s 6d. ■ Oranges, Os to 83 (id. Bananas, Id to 2d. Poultry.— Cocks, 3s, 3s 3d, 3s 6d, 3s lid ; hens 2s, 2s 2d, 2s 4d, 2s 6d, 2s Bd. Ducks, 4s. Geese, none. Turkeys : Cocks, 61d, 7d ; hens, Eid, sid, 6id. Potatoes are very scarce, and although immediate requirements are supplied no stocks are held. We have an inquiry for 200 tons, a- d will be glad to hear from holders. Business continues brisk in furniture and pianos especially. We hold a clearing sale on Uriday next, when we shall offer several valuable suites and pianos which must be sold. * On Tuesday next we hold a forced sale of an English shipment of blankets, hearthrugs, carpets, and table covers. Nothing of the class has ever been shown here except at very high prices by the best houses. The goods will be on view on Monday night between 7 and 9 o'clock, and on Tuesday morning.
