Mars led up by two lengths from trance It, who came a regular cropper, and before he Had recovered himself Mars had put up a good score ; but towards the end Chtmce It worked nicely, ana had the hare not got away would probably nave won. 111. Maltstress beat Philosopher Stormy Petrel beat Mars. Maltstress, who was on the red, led Philosopher by several length?, and beat the latter absolutely pointless. The judge, clearly by mistake, exhibited the white flag -a decision which was received with surprise,-and the official evidently realised that he had erred, as, after some delay, he hoisted the red flag, reversing his previous verdict, and awarding the course to Maltstress.- who had undoubtedly won it. Stormy Petrel led up by four or five lengths, and working cleverly, only allowed Mars a single wrench. FINAL ROUND. Mr S. S. Myers's f d Stormy Petrel, by BrewerStormy Night, beat Mr W.
