OTAGO RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION.
Tuesday night's meeting of the General Committee was attended by Messrs R. Chisholm and J. H. Morrison (vice-presidents), Milne, Martin, Montgomery, Wyinks, Waters, Chapman, Stilling, and Home. „,,,,, . . A request from the Clutha Club that a junior representative team should be sent to Balclutha this season to meet the local team was declined. It was decided to grant permission to the same club to play the Romahapa Club. In response to a request made some weeks ago by the Kaikorai Club for assistance towards the proposal to obtain a ground in the Kaikorai district, the committee, after full discussion, resolved to take up 50 shares in the company on the same being iloated. It was unanimously decided to apportion the proceeds of the charity tournament between the Patients' and Prisoners' Aid Society (L 25) and the children's waid in the Dunedin Hospital (L2l). . The secretary was instructed to communicate with the various clubs in reference to the matter of club caps ; and also to inform players chosen to represent the province in the interprovincial matches that the committee would insist on every player wearing the representative uniform, the union undertaking to provide the representative cap. It was decided to play the trial match on Saturday on the Carisbrook ground.
