RIVERSDALE.
August 18.—The members of the Riversdale Social ! Kinking Club, finding themselves on the bad side of their books for the season, held a carnival and dance < in the drill hall on Thursday evening last with the • object of reducing the debt a little, but owing to the 1 very short notice they found that they, instead of.' succeeding in their object, had plunged still further' into debt. The secretary, on finding the turn' things had taken, called the committee together, and! a very stormy interview took place between two otthe members; strong words being used on both sides.. I am sorry to hear that unless the secr.efiaijy, can findl a purchaser for the skates on hand the otub wiU havet to start with a debit balanoe next season,—Occasional correspondent.
