High School Governors.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the High School Board of Governors, held on Monday afternoon, was attended by tho Rev. Dr Stuart (chairman), Professors Macgregor, Shand, and Mr Keith Ramsay.
A deputation from the Taieri County Council, consisting of Messrs J. - Roberts (chairman), 11. Charters, J. Thomson, J. T. Douglas (clerk), waited on the board to apply for a grant towards making roads through the Strath-Taieri block. — The board decided to give £50 towards tho main road, and three-fourths cost of forming the district roads ; such grant not to exceed £150.
A letter was read from the Clutha County Council asking whether the Board would contribute towards the cost of the road from Popotunoa to Wyndham. — The secretary was instructed to intimate to the County Council that the board is willing to abide by the agreement as set forth in previous correspondence.
