The Kaitangata Belief Fond.
A meeting of the Committee of the above fund Was held on Saturday morning. Present : Messrs R. Paterson (in the chair), W. G. Geddes, and J. L. Gillies.
Mr Gillies submitted the annual statement of receipts and expenditure, which appears in our advertising columns. A letter Was read from Mr T. T. Ritchie, one of the trustees of the fund, tendering his resignation of office, owing to his going on a trip to Great Britain.— The resignation was accepted. Mr W. M. Hodgkins wrote, on behalf of himself and the other trustees, forwarding the before-mentioned statement of accounts, and intimating that Mr William Aitcheson, of Kaitangata, had been appointed to the trusteeship vacated by Mr Ritchie.— Approved. A communication was received from Dr Neill, medical superintendent to the Dunedin and Seacliff Lunatic Asylums, relative to the case of a widow who had had to be placed there.— The Secretary to the Committee read a draft reply which he had drawn up, and this was approved— which concluded the bvißineus,
