GOOD TEMPLARY.

The Universal Degree Temple, 1.0. G.T., met at the Foresters' Hall, Port Chalmers, Tuesday evening. The Temple was opened 1 in ' the Degree of Fidelity byßro. J. Thorna'dri)' 1 ' then 10 brothers and 5 sisters received" the\ second degree. After a shert recess, th«# Temple resumed in the third Degree ' ef . Charity, and correspondence and account* - were disposed of, and three brothers elected , and enrolled as members. Reports of committers and the consideration of other matters had te be postponed to make way for more important business, and after the hour of meeting at the hall had been altered to the third Saturday of every month, the installation of officers ' was proceeded with. The D.C. elect being absent, the vacancy was filled by Bro. J. Harrod, and he with the D.D". aasißted by Bro. Kermode as G.W.S., and Bro. Menelaus as G.W.M., formally installed the " following officers for the ensuing term ending February Ist next. D.T., Bro. Robins; D.V.T., Sister Morris; D.S., Bro. Charles Monson; Assistant D.S., Bro. J. Isbister; D.F.S., Bro. Simmonds; D.F., Sister Monson; D.C., Bro. J. Harrod; D.M., Bro. Cook; D.D.M., Bro. Wood; D.G., Bro. Sutcliff; D. Sentinel, M. Menzies: D.R.H.S., Bra J. Morris; D.L.H.S., Sister Shee; P.D.T., Bro. T. J. Thomson. The reports from various officers having been received, it was announced that 60 brothers and sisteig were members of the Temple, in good standing, It was confidently prognosticated that the en. suing term would be both an interesting and prosperous one. Votes of thanks to the retiring and installing officers having been given and responded to, the Temple was closed at 10.30 p.m. About fifty members and visitors were in attendance.
