ROSLYN COUNCIL.
This Council met on Friday evening at the District Hall, Roslyn, when there were present: The Mayor(MrKilgour)in the chair, and Messrs Ross, Haggitt, Wales, Jack, Lambert, White, Matheson, Ferguson, and Curie. The minutes of the previous meeting were read aud confirmed.
With Tef srence to a letter received from -Mr Christie at last meeting of the Council, asking.' that repairs be executed in Selkirk street, Mr Ross stated that the Works Committee had visited the place, but would not recommend the "repairs requested,— Consideration of tho matter was deferred.
The Engineer's report, which recommended certain improvements in the municipality, was " adopted, and referred to the Works Committee.
The Works Committee's report was brought before the Council, and adopted. Mr Jack, on behalf of the Finance Com- , mittee, reported that the estimate required for / the works during the year was L9OO. The Committee appointed to draw up the bye-laws of the municipality reported that they would bring the matter before the Council at ' its next meeting. After a few unimportant accounts had been passed for payment, the Council adjourned fora fortnight.
