Biverton, August 2n<2. . A well-attended meeting has been held at .Orepuki— Mr Henry Hirst, County Chair>man, presiding— at which the following reaojlution was carried unanimously : : — " That (the meeting urge upoa Government, through ,the 'members for Wallace and Riverton, the, necessity for completing tLe Riverton-Ore-■puki Railway, and suggest that a surveyor. 'be senb down immediately to survey a more practicable route." A petition, embodying the above resolution, has been prepared and .signed, without exception, by everyone iv the district.
